Behind the scenes: Semana Venezolana

Semana Venezolana has been a tradition in our school since we can remember. Pulling it off takes a lot of hard work, determination and effort, to show everyone how proud you are to represent your country for a whole week. Normally we would do Powerpoint presentations, and research about a specific topic. This year however, we are taking it on step further. That's right, we're talking about performing in front of an audience. It might look super easy, but in reality Semana Venezolana requires a lot of hard work. So we decided to show you how some of the students in our school get ready for Semana Venezolana. Each grade was told to practice with their Spanish/Historia/Geografia de Venezuela teacher. So far, we are glad to say that we have done an awesome job! This week has been filled with laughter and fun, and the coolest thing was that each grade got a separate theme! After interviewing fellow seventh grader Gustavo Sanchez, he told us that "It took a lot of hard work, but I think we pulled it off". They sure did! Each and every single grade has something that is both entertaining and interesting to learn about. Who wouldn't want to know were they came from, or how their country came together? Next we interviewed fellow sixth grader Mariana Haack who told us that "Working with my classmates has been super fun, and I can't wait to see what the other grades have planned". Let's enjoy the rest of this educationally fun week, and remember to be proud of where you came from, it's a pretty awesome story after all.
