Rated R for Radical!

It lasted only two hours and 36 minutes and captivated the entire world; can you guess what it is?
In the words of Leonardo DiCaprio “ The Revenant is one man’s incredible journey on an epic scale”. The Revenant takes place in 1983; when the great frontiersman Hugh Glass is attacked by a bear and is left to die in the woodlands. His hunting team left him, he has nothing but his survival skills and nature. Glass must find a way to get home with his family. What was supposed to be a simple fur tradition expedition turned into a catastrophe. On top of this, Leonardo DiCaprio truly exceeded expectations by helping to make such a well-rounded movie. The Revenant: Approved.

Hypothesis + Data + Conclusion = Science Fair!

On January 6, the Science Fair annual project was introduced to the students from 6th grade to 10th grade. The Science Fair is an experiment yet known as a research effort that represents students’ investigation into areas of interest and provides a creative way to show what they know. By doing the Science Fair, students can gain information and knowledge of scientists’ discoveries and how one day they might find something that could impact life. The first checkpoint was due January 14 and it was a document where students had to put their 3 main ideas and had to check if it was a valid option. This Science Fair is also very special because students from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be participating! We wish good luck to everyone and that their project is a success. Down below is the Science Fair Time Line:

Does it live in the Bermuda Triangle?

Monsters everywhere, creatures everywhere, dangerous creatures, so you must be aware! Eighth grade students are working on a new science project assigned by Mrs. Possamai on January 26, 2016. The students in pairs must create a creature that most likely existed during the Cambrian Explosion. According to Berkeley, “From about 570 to 530 million years ago, an evolutionary burst of life forms occurred, often referred to as the "Cambrian Explosion." This marks an important point in the history of life on earth, as most of the major lineages of animals got their starts during the Cambrian Period and have been evolving ever since.” In order to create a “crazy creature”, students must investigate about the climate, environment, and where animals lived during this period of time. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s see who will create the best “crazy creature”!

Momma Riddle in Venezuela!

Mother and daughter reunited! Upon the arrival of her mother on Friday, EBV has a new guest. Ms.Riddle’s mom has come all the way from Canada to visit her daughter in Maracaibo. Most of Ms.Riddle’s classes have already had the pleasure of meeting her. How cool is meeting your teacher’s mom! “I think my ninth grader’s were the ones who enjoyed meeting her the most because they got to talk to her and ask her stuff about me.” She’s unfortunately leaving next week, but we hope she can visit us again soon. She’s a proud mother indeed.
