Looking For Alaska, a book about life and death

The book Looking For Alaska by: John Green features the life of young Miles Halter, who leaves his small social group of geeks and drama students to seek for a great perhaps. His parents tell him to stay away from alcohol, cigarettes and drugs when he leaves to boarding school, but alcohol and cigarettes are his ticket to enter the social community of Culver Creek. His roommate leaves Miles to the name of Pudge and presents him to the cigarette seller Alaska Young which becomes Miles secret love. Through the book, Miles deals with the problems of Alaska, the addiction to cigarettes and maintaining his social status on culver creek. Miles deviates himself from the correct path, learning new experiences that would not have been possible in Florida. Creating a new life, the author of this book does not hide anything from the readers, leaving the main character to discover himself, seeking a great perhaps at the same time and learning about life and death.
