Divergent; one society becoming many

Divergent, by Veronica Roth, is a young adult science fiction novel with a strong message about society. The book features Tris, as the main character soon to become an adult who has to choose a faction. Their society is divided into five factions. Candor, Amity, Dauntless, Erudite, and Abnegation. A test is the one that says, but she decides if to go with the honest, Candor; the kindest, Amity; the bravest, Dauntless; the intellectual, Erudite; or the selfless, Abnegation. But the test gives a unique and different result; a divergent. A person who can belong to more than one faction. Being separated would be a problem to the family, but can cause a disaster if Tris does not leave. What faction will she choose? Dealing with political changes, Tris faction would be extinct, one of the most important. With the new people she met in this new stage of her life, will she be able to stop the chaos?
The book also features a divided society that in our modern world can be thought as possible. Different people, different beliefs, separated from one another, with little change and power to get back together, to be free.
