Write! Write! Write!

Only 5,000 words to go! This year, the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders have to participate in NanoWrimo! NanoWrimo is a project in which someone has to write a novel and the novel has to have a certain number of words. 6th grade has to write 6,000 words, 7th grade has to write 7,000 words, and 8th and 9th have to write 10,000 words by November 25. This year not only the students have to write a novel, but they also have to complete a workbook about their story so they are more planned and focused on what they have to do. NanoWrimo’s official website (nanowrimo.org) states the history of NanoWrimo and it says that it started in July of 1999 and only 21 people participated. NanoWrimo has gotten popular over the years because it encourages students and people that everyone can write a novel no matter what. Good luck to the writers!
