Bird Island, a paradise were only naive and innocent birds live, who know nothing of the outside world. They treasure eggs above all else, and are all carefree and easygoing, except for few. One of these birds is Red, a bird that does not like to get related with the other birds and has had anger issues from the very beginning. Eventually, his explosion of emotions become too much and he is sentenced to anger management courses, where he meets other birds with similar problems.The birds are suddenly visited by green pigs, who are dumb but funny. The birds and pigs quickly become friends, but Red does not trust the pigs at all. Ultimately, the pigs reveal their true colors, and this pushes Red to lead the entire group of birds in a revenge as well as finding the right means of dealing with rage.

New Nemo: The New Family Lost
After a few years from helping reunite Nemowith his father, the friendly and bubbly blue fish Dory has her own adventure. Now, Dory from finding Nemo, lives in the coral reef with Marlin (Nemo’s dad) and Nemo. Suddenly in the movie Dory remembers that she has a family somewhere that could be looking for her, and along with her two friends ( Marlin and Nemo ) she decides to look for her family across the ocean all the way through California's Marine Life Institute. Decided to find her parents Dory helps three new friends: an octopus named Hank, a beluga whale named Bailey, and a whale shark named Destiny. During this trip Dory, Marlin, Nemo and her new friends find out their real family values, weaknesses, and the importance of friendship.
Tubman’s Legacy to be Honored or Destroyed
Americans have had a long-lasting
debate about Harriet Tubman’s proximal appearance on the $20 bill.

on the 20-dollar bill has caused controversy in the U.S. and American feminists
have come to question the government’s intentions. Citizens from all around the
U.S. have had different opinions about Harriet Tubman’s appearance on the bill,
according to seattletimes.com some people are thrilled by the fact that a
woman, especially one of color is going to be the face of the bill, but on the
other hand other feminists such as Feminista Jones “There’s
no place for women – especially women of color – on America’s currency today.”
She explained her point by saying that “American capitalism historically has
been used to oppress and disenfranchise women and people of color. At various points in our nation’s
history, women were forbidden from owning property, married
women were forbidden from working, and black women were restricted to jobs as
cooks and maids. Even today, economic injustice continues in the form of
unequal pay, limiting women’s ability to reach their full economic potential.”
Her points are taking from a different perspective that comes from the fact
that women are fighting against the United States economy to be able to gain,
equal rights, respect and pay especially in women of color or different race.
Feminista tried to explain to people that women are not to represent the
economy that they are trying to fight against as it will just cloud people’s
judgment and leave the economic gap between genders intact.
Americans have had an endless debate
through social media about how Harriet Tubman being chosen to be one of the new
faces of the U.S. economy affects her legacy. Many say it is a complete honor
but large amounts of people say it is an insult to her legacy. Feminista Jones
also expressed her thoughts about this fact in her article, which is now
available in Washington Post by saying that “Harriet Tubman did not fight for capitalism, free trade, or
competitive markets. She repeatedly put herself in the line of fire to free
people who were treated as currency themselves. She risked her life to ensure
that enslaved black people would know they were worth more than the blood money
that exchanged hands to buy and sell them. I do not believe Tubman, who died
impoverished in 1913, would accept the “honor.”
So what do you think is Harriet
Tubman the right choice to be the new face of the 20-dollar bill or is it a
disgrace to her legacy and an insult to the goals American women are currently

Eco friendly attraction for the Pre K-Kinder playground!

to Ms. Metz and half of the eighth grade class, the Pre-kinder and Kinder playground
has another super fun attraction! The only difference is that this attraction
is actually made from cardboard boxes in order to make the illusion of a house.
Even though it didn’t look a lot like a house in the end, since it was painted
white, and the eighth decorated it (with a little help from the kids of course)
and made it one of the most unique and creative pieces of artwork in this
school! How awesome is that? Now the kids can enjoy another place to play and
help expand their imagination and develop bright and creative minds we all know
they have deep down inside of them. After asking some of the students in our
class, we got them to say what they really liked about working with the kids.
Tomas Morales mentioned how he really enjoyed seeing the kids decorate it
because; “They drew in the boxes what
they would draw in a piece of paper. Thos kids drew something that they really
liked which I think is pretty cool!” Next we asked Veronica Lamus and she
told us that she really liked drawing with the kids because “It was super fun, and the kids looked super grateful and excited
after seeing the wall decorated” This project was an experience that showed
a lot of creativity, and was also super fun! Let’s hope we can all do more
projects like this!
Science Fair 2016: New Year, New Projects
After
months of checkpoint, preparations, trials, and a lot of studying the science
fair is finally over! On April 21st/22nd 2016, Escuela
Bella Vista had their annual Science Fair. Tons of cool projects were entered
and even special speakers were invited to talk to us. How cool is that! Some people
were very nervous about this whole thing because they felt like their whole
lives depended on it. Well, don’t worry because without a doubt the EBV
community is very proud of each and every participant. A former teacher at a
University here in Venezuela came and spoke to the eighth, ninth, and tenth
graders. She told us all about this cool scientific career that unfortunately
most students didn’t hear very clearly since they auditorium was very hot, and
the audio was very low. As the speaker went on, they did their best to try to
listen to her but sometimes you could barely hear what she was saying. The
speaker had prepared some pictures to show us which made it a little easier for
us to understand her. In the words of Dr. Rosie “It was a
difficult situation, but you were so wonderfully polite and attentive even when
it must have been very uncomfortable for you. I was so proud of you. You chose
to honor the speaker by being politely attentive even when you couldn't even
hear her. You were a terrific audience and I am very proud of how polite you
were. Thank you so much for thinking about her rather than thinking about you
in those moments. The science fair was very good
today. I spoke to about fifteen project teams. Every one of you had good ideas
and put your ideas to the test in quite unique ways. Again, I am proud of you
for the projects you completed and for the learning you achieved. It´s not
quite done yet, know we need to get through another project… SEMANA VENEZOLANA.

Batman v Superman, It’s About Time!
It’s a bird.. It’s a plane.. It’s the second largest opening in Warner Bros. history starring Batman and Superman all at once!
DC deciding to pair up with Warner Bros. to make a brand new film. Can you guess what happened? That’s right, they made a major blockbuster that will mark science fiction movies for years to come. Not only did the movie boost the DC Extended Universe but got the DC world out of the corner and back into the competition against Marvel. Bringing together two cinematic icons including the 1.6 billion dollar concept that is Superman against the Dark Knight himself, the whopping 2.8 billion dollar idea that is Batman as commented by Frank Pallotta; head of CNN Money. Critics have not been the best for this movie, getting a 28% score by Rotten Tomatoes. Although critics have not received the movie as expected, the movie has managed to make $420.1 million in its opening weekend. The movie has already broken records like the biggest opening of 2016, and the seventh largest domestic opening in the world. I am sure the movie will continue to make a great profit and hopefully start a new line of DC/ Warner Bros. films.
